Azure Migrate now uses GitHub Copilot Modernize to generate code insights that map repo-level findings to web apps at scale.
Microsoft rolled out a preview that lets you run at-scale code assessments via the GitHub Copilot Modernize CLI and push results directly into Azure Migrate. It flags concrete code changes needed to move web apps to AKS or Azure App Service and rolls them up at the app level.
You can trigger scans by CLI, upload ZIPs, or request reports through GitHub issues, then review them inside Azure Migrate. Private endpoints aren’t supported yet. Details: Add code insights by using GitHub Copilot modernization (preview).
This turns scattered repo scans into a single migration view with concrete code changes for AKS/App Service.
