The claude-code-statusline tool now reads the JSON transcript files that Claude Code CLI writes under ~/.claude/projects to display live context token usage, native cost tracking, session metadata, and lines added/removed. It reduces reliance on external tools (keeps ccusage for 30‑day aggregates) and surfaces per-session productivity and spend signals directly in the terminal.
